buying in quiapo or cartimar

newbie here. i'm planning on getting a bike. I read that the cheapest place to get it would be in quiapo or cartimar.

I'm actually quite close to quiapo, however i also read that stores in both of these places tend to "scam" newbies. Is this true? If so, is there a reliable and honest store in quiapo you can recommend? One that is newbie friendly.

Or if someone is living in the area, can someone help me out? I would definitely be very thankful. Treat nailing kit pagkatapos hahahaha
