KENU® LAUNCHES COMPACT TRIPOD FOR IPHONES
SAN FRANCISCO (Nov. 13, 2014) Kenu®, maker of Airframe® and Airframe+, portable car mounts for smartphones and phablets, announces the launch of their newest product, Stance - a compact tripod for iPhones. Stance is the first tripod specifically designed for the iPhone, mounting directly into the iPhones Lightning port using Kenus patent pending MicroMount. Watching your favorite videos, using FaceTime, and positioning your iPhones camera to capture amazing photos and videos has never been easier.
Grams thoughts => This small little tripod fits into the iPhone's Lightning port, letting you take pictures or watch things while holding the device in multiple positions. Pretty cool little unit that is small enough to toss into a pack or pocket.
Stance is small and compact, making it easy to take anywhere. It weighs only 1.2ozs (34g) and is smaller than a pack of gum. Non-slip feet and premium zinc-alloy construction create a stable base. A ball-and-pivot joint lets the phone tilt and rotate freely, allowing you to position your iPhone at the perfect angle.
Apples new iPhones have really exciting photography capabilities, said Kenu founder and CEO Ken Minn. Whether people are using the new iOS photography features like time-lapse and self-timer or they are using apps like Hyperlapse, Manual, or ActionShot, were excited to launch Stance to help people get the most out of their new iPhones.
Stance is also amazingly versatile. With the legs folded flat, Stance positions your iPhone for watching videos or taking pictures in landscape mode. And if youre ready to unplug, Stance even has a bottle opener built into one of the legs.
Stance is available for $29.95 on Kenu.com and will be available in premium retailers worldwide in early 2015.

POC Earns Grand Award from Popular Science for the Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS helmet
Helmet Integrity system takes top Recreation honor in Best of Whats New awards
STOCKHOLM (Nov. 12, 2014) Popular Science has recognized POC, a leading manufacturer of skiing and cycling helmets, apparel and accessories, as a Best of Whats New Grand Award winner for the Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS ski racing helmet. The worlds largest science and technology magazine recognizes the new Helmet Integrity (H.I.) system in its December 2014 issue.
Being recognized by Popular Science for the Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS helmet is a milestone and a true honor, says Stefan Ytterborn, POC CEO and founder. With POCs mission of doing the best we can to possibly save lives and to reduce the consequences of accidents, we have an obligation to never stop improving and serving our users better and more accurate.
The Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS is our most recent generation of ski racing helmets, using a number of new innovations, better managing violence and increasing protection, particularly emphasizing the unique needs and situations for some of the worlds most demanding ski racing athletes.
Grams thoughts => The Swedish based POC company always has safety at the forefront of their research and technology. This new helmet is full featured with the latest in technology and utilizes their knowledge base to the fullest. Some of this technology will morph its way into all of their helmets, making them safer for all riders (snow or bike).
The Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS features a collection of stress-strain sensors distributed over the liner that record, collect and memorize any deformation. If an impactor a combination of impactsexceeds the predefined level, an indicator light turns from green to red, meaning that the helmet should be replaced.
The helmet utilizes the patented Multi-direction Impact Protection System (MIPS) to reduce rotational violence in a crash as well as a multi-impact EPP liner. The helmet also has a layer of POC's VPD 2.0 compound in the front, which allows gates to be deflected with reduced energy transmission to the head.
For 27 years, Popular Sciencehas honored the innovations that surprise and amaze usthose that make a positive impact on our world today and challenge our view of what?s possible in the future, states Cliff Ransom, editor-in-chief of Popular Science. The Best of What?s New Award is the magazine?s top honor, and the 100 winnerschosen from among thousands of entrantseach a revolution in its field.
Previously, the Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS was named Gold Winner in the Ski Segment/Helmet Category at the ISPO Awards in Munich.
